In Memory of Our Colleague Kiran Rose Auerbach

It is with great sadness that we share the news that our dear colleague and friend Kiran passed away.
For more than a year and a half, Kiran faced serious illness. Despite this long struggle, her passing comes as a painful loss to us all. She confronted her illness with remarkable courage, strength, and hope, never losing her spirit in the face of setbacks and difficult treatments. Her family has told us that she passed away peacefully.
Kiran leaves behind her loving parents, Nimi and Les, and her brother Sol, whose unwavering support and closeness accompanied her throughout her journey.
At the IPZ, we will remember Kiran for her strong personality, her wonderful sense of humor, her linguistic and musical talents, her intellectual vitality, and her generosity as a colleague. Until her very last days, she remained engaged, curious, and outspoken in her views on politics and in her passion for academic research.
We have lost not only an esteemed colleague but also a truly special person, who leaves a deep void and will be greatly missed.
The IPZ community sends its deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to Kiran's family at this difficult time, with the hope they can find warmth and relief in the wonderful memories that Kiran leaves behind. They are in our thoughts and in our hearts
