Curriculum vitae

Philipp is a post-doctoral researcher at the Chair of Political Economy and Development. In January 2024, Philipp completed his dissertation titled “Essays on accountability and participation in the Global South: How information shapes opinions and behavior”. His general area of expertise is political economy, particularly in non-Western contexts. In his latest project, Philipp investigates structural economic explanations for radical right support globally, with a particular focus on the Global South. Mostly, Philipp’s research revolves around developing and (quantitatively) testing novel theoretical arguments. Before his dissertation, Philipp completed a B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in economics at the University of Konstanz.
