Centre for Democracy in Aarau ZDA

With over 45 researchers, the Centre for Democracy in Aarau (Zentrum für Demokratie Aarau ZDA) investigates “the forms, qualities, and challenges of democracy from the perspective of political science, jurisprudence, and political education/history didactics.”

The Centre for Democracy in Aarau is one of the foremost research centres on democracy in Switzerland and in Europe. It is closely linked to the Department of Political Science at the University of Zurich, and to Democracy Studies.
