DemocracyNet

DemocracyNet is an international, non-partisan, and non-profit association of researchers in democracy studies. Launched in 2011 by students of the former program NCCR Democracy as an informal network of peer researchers, DemocracyNet developed into an independent association in 2016. 

Since its creation, DemocracyNet has been pursuing two core aims: fostering interdisciplinary exchange and project collaborations among researchers in democracy studies, on the one hand; and making these academic debates about democracy accessible to the wider public, on the other hand. 

Due to the overlap of interests and goals, the doctoral program Democracy Studies and DemocracyNet have successfully collaborated on various projects over the past years:
