At the Department of Political Science, we are looking for a Research Assistant (20%) for different SNSF-financed research projects that involve the collection and manipulation of historical and contemporary GIS data. The projects focus on questions of how environmental conditions and climate change affect the political organization of societies and public preferences.

At the Department of Political Science, we are looking for a Research Assistant (20%) for a SNSF-financed research project on electoral reforms in the late 19th and early 20th century in Western Europe, North America, and Oceania. In the project, we collect and analyze statistical data, parliamentary debates, and roll call votes to study why parties and legislators develop preferences for different electoral systems.
