Curriculum vitae
Ivo Bantel has completed degrees in European studies and International Relations at the University of Bremen (BA) and the University of Oxford (MPhil). Following stays abroad in the Middle East, he works as a doctoral researcher at the chair for comparative politics and empirical democracy research and is fellow of the Excellence Programme for PhD students by the University of Zurich's Digital Society Initiative.
His doctoral research focuses affective polarization in multi-party systems; his research interests beyond polarization include European far-right politics, political violence and terrorism, natural language processing, quantitative text analysis, and computational social science methods.
