Curriculum vitae

Verena Reidinger is a postdoctoral researcher in the Political Institutions and European Politics research group. She earned her PhD from the University of Zurich in 2025, focusing on how the representation of marginalized groups influences public perceptions of democratic institutions and decision-making.

Her research interests include political representation, institutions, political psychology, and public opinion, with a particular focus on when and why citizens feel represented by political elites and institutions. In 2023, she was a visiting scholar at Vanderbilt University. She holds a BA and MA in Political Science and a BA in History from the University of Vienna.
