Stefanie Walter is Full Professor for International Relations and Political Economy at the Department of Political Science at the University of Zurich. She also co-directs the UZH Center for Crisis Competence (CCC) and is the president of the steering committee for the National Research Program "Deglobalisation and Supply Chain resilience" (NRP 87). She received her PhD in 2007 from ETH Zurich and was an assistant professor at the University of Heidelberg from 2009-2013. Her research examines issues related to globalization, financial crises, European integration, and international (non-)cooperation. Her work has been published in journals such as the Annual Review of Political Science, American Journal of Political Science, Comparative Political Studies, and International Organization. She is the author of “Financial Crises and the Politics of Macroeconomic Adjustments” (2013, Cambridge University Press) and “The Politics of Bad Options” (2020, Oxford University Press).
