Curriculum vitae

Sarah Gomm is a postdoctoral researcher. She will work with Hannah Werner on a SNF project studying democratic legitimacy perceptions, trust in various actors and polarization regarding climate policy across Europe.  She will also be affiliated with the Centre for Democracy in Aarau and the International Political Economy and Environmental Politics Group (IPEEP) at ETH Zurich. Previously, she was a postdoctoral researcher with Thomas Bernauer at the IPEEP Group, where she corrdinates the Swiss Environmental Panel. Sarahs research focuses on environmental politics with a particular emphasis on individual-level public opinion dynamics, investigating the barriers and pathways to policy support through the lens of populist attitudes, political trust, and economic crises. She received her doctoral degree from ETH Zurich in 2024 and previously studied at Konstanz University, Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona), and Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg. Sarah is a co-organizer of the Zurich Political Economy Seminar Series (ZPESS) and the Climate Policy Reading Group at ETH Zurich.
