Curriculum vitae

Philipp Scherer is a Doctoral Candidate at the Chair of Digital Democracy and works in the DIZH-funded project Simplify!

His research investigates how administrative burdens affect access to social services in contemporary welfare states. His work combines quantitative, experimental, and qualitative approaches and often involves close collaboration with public administrations and policymakers.

Previously, Philipp worked as Senior Project Manager for digital citizen participation at CrowdInsights GmbH. He holds a B.A. (2018–2021) and an M.A. (2021–2025) in Politics and Public Administration from the University of Konstanz, with exchange stays at the University of Vienna and Tel Aviv University.
