Pit Rieger is a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Political Institutions and European Politics. His research examines how parties behave in response to voter preferences and party competition, and how these dynamics influence electoral and legislative outcomes across European party systems and within EU politics. His doctoral research focused on the behavior of coalition governments in the policymaking process of the EU. Pit holds an MSc in Statistics from ETH Zurich and a BSc in Social Science from the University of Cologne. During his doctoral studies, he was a visiting scholar at Duke University.
