Leon Küstermann is a postdoctoral researcher in Thomas Kurer’s research group ‘Inequality and Politics’. His main research interest is better understanding why, in some contexts, structural changes in the labor market (e.g., technological change, globalization, and climate transitions) lead to more inclusive (political) outcomes than in others. In particular, he focuses on the role of firms in shaping people’s political preferences and implications for policy responses and the welfare state in the 21st century. Leon has a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the European University Institute and a MSc in Comparative Social Policy from the University of Oxford.
