Kailey Taplin is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Zurich working on the FWO-funded INFRASEC project (partner institution: Vrije Universiteit Brussel).
Her research sits at the intersection of International Security, Science and Technology Studies, Critical Race scholarship, and Postcolonial Studies. She examines how digital security and migration infrastructures—such as Passenger Name Record (PNR) systems and global mobility databases—circulate across Postcolonial regions and reshape practices of mobility governance, risk assessment, and bordering through sociotechnical processes.
