Jessica Lang is a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Policy Analysis & Evaluation. Her research interests lie at the intersection of environmental politics, political sociology, and political behaviour. In her current project, she investigates how various human-nature value orientations shape decision-making processes around renewable energy projects in the Alpine region. She further assesses how distributional, procedural, and recognition justice affect this relationship.
Jessica received her PhD from the European University Institute in 2026. In her dissertation, she adopted a discursive lens to examine dynamics between the environmental social movement, traditional media, and public opinion in Switzerland (1974-2024). In addition to her research, she serves as the Chair of the ECPR Standing Group on Participation and Mobilisation.
