Fabio Schmocker is a Doctoral Candidate at the Chair of Political Behavior and Digital Media. His research focuses on the interaction between state behavior and contentious relations in the cyber domain. He employs quantitative methods to study them. Fabio’s PhD project is supervised by Karsten Donnay (University of Zurich) and Lennart Maschmeyer (Georgia Institute of Technology). Previously, Fabio worked as a research assistant at the Center for Security Studies (CSS) and the Immigration Policy Lab (IPL) at ETH Zurich. He holds a Master in Comparative and International Studies (2021-2023) from ETH Zurich. He wrote his master's thesis on the effects of government investment in sports on a country's international image, focusing on Saudi Arabia. He earned his Bachelor in International Relations from the University of Geneva (2017-2020).
