Curriculum vitae

Enzo Nussio is a Research Professor at the Department of Political Science at the University of Zurich. He leads the research project “Decades of Peace” funded by a Swiss National Science Foundation consolidator grant. His research examines the causes and consequences of violence, including peacebuilding in Colombia, terrorism and public opinion in Europe, and lynching violence in Latin America.

Enzo graduated in History from the University of Basel (2005) and holds a PhD in International Affairs and Governance from the University of St. Gallen (2011). During and after his PhD, he spent several years in Colombia. There, he worked as a postdoc for the Universidad de los Andes and as a lecturer at the Universidad Nacional in Bogotá. He was also a postdoc at the Institute of Latin American Studies at Stockholm University. From 2016 to 2024, he served as a senior researcher at the Center for Security Studies at ETH Zurich.
