DigiSanté is Switzerland’s national program for advancing the digital transformation of the healthcare system, running from 2025 to 2034 and involving a broad range of public and private stakeholders. It aims to establish a secure, interoperable health data ecosystem that enables seamless data exchange, improves patient safety, and increases efficiency across the healthcare sector. The current evaluation focuses on the first implementation phase (2025–2027), which is dedicated to building standards, governance structures, and foundational digital infrastructure. The formative evaluation will assess the program’s governance, implementation progress, stakeholder engagement, communication, and early outcomes, while identifying challenges and opportunities for improvement. Its findings are intended to support evidence-based decision-making and help optimize DigiSanté’s strategic and operational development throughout the program lifecycle.
