Curriculum vitae

Francesco Raffaelli is a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair for Swiss Politics and Comparative Political Economy. His research interests lie at the intersection of political behavior, public opinion, and political economy. In particular, he focuses on the study of group identities and attitudes toward sociocultural issues. He received his PhD from the University of Oxford in 2025 with a dissertation investigating the structure of public opinion on immigration, gender, and sexuality in Europe. In 2023, he was a visiting scholar at Princeton University, and from 2023 to 2025 he was a member of the Einstein Research Group at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, funded by the Einstein Stiftung. Francesco holds a BSc in Economic and Social Sciences and an MSc in Policy Analysis from Bocconi University.
