Dr. Belén González is the Head of Research Area “International Security, Peace and Conflict” at the Department of Political Science. She has worked as an Assistant Professor of Sustainable Governance at Leuphana University and the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) (2019-2023), and as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Mannheim (2015-2019). She holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Essex (2015).
